“Desirable Beach Front Property” is part sci-fi machine, part architectural model. As a direct result of man made climate change the glaciers and ice-caps are melting and sea levels inexorably rising.
The stripes decorating the legs of the piece convey the relationship between average global temperature increase and projected sea level rise by the year 2100.
The dots encode the messages: ‘The Greenland ice cap is 2.9m kmĀ³’ and ‘Taylor Swift loves cats’ we are surrounded by a sea of information and every day it becomes harder to distinguish fact from fiction or weigh up the value of that piece of information.
